Charlotte, 49, resides in Noblesville with her husband Kevin. They have been married for 21 years and have two boys.  PJ, 16, is a sophomore at Brebeuf and is a member of the student council, plays in the string orchestra and is on the football and baseball teams.  Casey, 12, enjoys computer gaming and fishing.  Charlotte met the other women in this issue 8 years ago while living in Noblesville’s Wellington Northeast neighborhood.  They were fast friends and have remained close over the years.  Charlotte is an ENT Surgeon with Northeast Otolaryngology in Noblesville.  She’s probably the hardest working woman we’ve ever met. Her busy practice keeps her constantly on the go but she always has her priorities straight and makes time for what’s important.   She is extremely dedicated and devoted to both her work and her family.  The family’s support system at home allows her to successfully manage and balance her schedule.  We’re positive she’s pulling our leg when she says she has hobbies.  She loves to knit, crochet, quilt, basket weave and rug hook.  Smart, funny, beautiful, generous….and creative? She’s the real deal!  When describing Charlotte we’d have to say that in addition to being warm, kind and generous she also sparkles.  She has a glow that illuminates her from the inside out. You’ve heard of people who can light up a room?  They’re talking about Charlotte!

After40 discovered Justine, 44, living in Noblesville with her husband Ed and two rescued golden mixes, Emma and Harley, who according to Justine, actually own the house and allow her and Ed to live there.  She married her best friend 14 years ago and she considers herself very lucky.  Justine has a step-son, Austin, who attends Anderson University.  She is a sales rep for Commonwealth Brands, Inc and travels a territory of 14 counties.  Needless to say she is constantly on the go.  She does find time for family, friends and faith though.  She and Ed like to spend time together and they love to cook.  They call themselves the “traveling cooks” because it is common for them to entertain friends – at their houses!  They show up and do all of the cooking!   Justine moved into the Noblesville neighborhood and met her friends eight years ago and she treasures the time she spends with them.  She briefly moved away and then two years later, she returned to the ‘hood.  She loves the community and of course the friendships.  Justine is very devoted to her church, Crossroads Church at Westfield.  She and Ed volunteer as often as they can.  We found Justine’s lively personality so much fun to be around.   Wherever we saw good times and heard laughter, we found Justine!

Sarah, 40, calls Noblesville home.  Like the other three winners, she moved into the close-knit neighborhood 8 years ago.  She had an immediate connection with this fun group and the rest is history, as they say.  Sarah and husband Kevin have been married 17 years and have two boys, Carter, 15, and Ian, 12.  Both boys enjoy sports and Sarah is their #1 fan.   Carter plays baseball and high school volleyball while Ian plays travel soccer and basketball.  Stella, the four-legged member of the family, is loyal and faithful and is emotionally attached to all of them.  Sarah works full-time as an Account Executive with Taylored Systems where she sells business telephone systems.  Her two favorite pastimes include getting together with friends and traveling to new destinations with her family.  The family’s journeys abroad have taken them to Puerto Rico, Europe and Mexico.  They spent the holidays in Taos, New Mexico and they plan to spend their summer vacation in Colorado.  When it came to stepping outside of her comfort zone and trying new styles, Sarah was fearless.  She was game for anything!  Our goal for the four was to make them feel like queens so hearing her friends lovingly refer to her as princess made us laugh!  She is fun, silly and down to earth, everything you’d want in a BFF.

Michaelene, 51, lives in Noblesville and has been married to husband Richard for 21years.  They have three children: Sam, 18, Claire, 17, and Jack, 15.  Sam and Claire attend Noblesville High School.  Sam graduates this spring and hopes to attend Purdue.  He loves to play football and lacrosse.  Daughter Claire is a Junior and plays volleyball and lacrosse.  Youngest son Jack is a lacrosse and football player too.  He is also musical, playing the piano, trumpet and is in the drum line.    Michaelene is a nurse at OrthoIndy and has practiced nursing since 1981.  When not working, Michaelene says that being a sports mom is her other full-time job and cleaning up after her team of three keeps her hopping.  When she can, she likes to cook and work in her flower garden.  She enjoys traveling and wishes she had more time to indulge.  Her two Golden Retriever pooches, Hazel and George, complete her family.  She was once a neighbor of the other three winners and she feels so fortunate to know them.  She says her favorite part of their friendship is the fun times and knowing that they are such good people.  We have to agree!  Wherever the four went, fun and laughter followed.  We witnessed firsthand the powerful bond of friendship and sisterhood.
